TCL announces Nxtpaper 70 Pro at CES 2026

Nxtpaper 4.0 enables paper-like Max Ink Mode with a tap

At CES 2026, TCL showed off a few of their new smartphones, tablets and routers.

Starting with the TCL Nxtpaper 70 Pro, a smartphone with some pretty good specs alongside the company’s famous Nxtpaper display technology.

Nxtpaper 4.0 enables users to switch between different modes with the dedicated Nxtpaper key, and it offers an all-day and all-scenario, eye-friendly viewing experience. This means with a click of the key, you can get the classic experience in full colour as well as settle into a better focus mode with the Max Ink Mode, which will transform your screen into a paper-like monochrome experience. And in Max Ink Mode, the handset can provide a seven-day battery life. This mode includes an extensive library of pre-installed books and AI reading tools like AI Outline, AI Audiobook and AI Podcast. And you can pair the handset with the T-Pen Stylus, which gives the user a better writing experience.

The handset features a 6.9-inch FHD+ Nxtpaper display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a 5,200mAh battery with 33W charging, Android 16, Mediatek Dimensity 7300, and a 50-megapixel primary camera and 8-megapixel ultrawide. There’s also a 32-megapixel selfie camera with face unlocking capabilities. Due to the Nxtpaper screen, the handset has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Additionally, you can find 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of expandable storage, and IP68 water and dust resistance.

The Nxtpaper Pro launches in February globally; however, we’re still waiting to hear about specific Canadian pricing and availability.
