Apple has removed its new iPadOS 18 update from M4 iPad Pro models following reports of bricking.
After Apple rolled out the update on Monday, several M4 iPad Pro users took to Reddit to report that their tablets simply wouldn’t turn on. One user said their iPad shut down mid-update, while another said the Apple Store confirmed their tablet was “completely bricked.”
“We have temporarily removed the iPadOS 18 update for M4 iPad Pro models as we work to resolve an issue that is impacting a small number of devices,” Apple says in a statement to MobileSyrup. It should be noted that there haven’t been any reports of other iPad models malfunctioning after the update.
In any event, it’s been a big month for Apple. Last week, the company revealed the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro and other products. A full breakdown of those announcements can be found here. As well, check out our reviews of the Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4.
