Today, Apple held its annual iPhone keynote in Cupertino, California. With the unveiling of the iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10 and new details on iOS 18, there’s been a lot to unpack from the Glowtime event.
Across the two-hour keynote, Apple gave users a lot of information on upcoming products, including some imminent releases. To make your life easier, we’ve compiled all the release dates you need to know as we head into the launch of the iPhone 16, the Apple Watch Series 10, and the long-awaited release of Apple Intelligence.
iPhone 16 (September 20)

The star of the Glowtime keynote is undoubtedly the iPhone 16 series. Apple announced that the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max will launch on Friday, September 20th in Canada and other global markets. Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series are available starting Friday the 13th.

Apple Watch Series 10 (September 20)

Marking the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch, the Cupertino company is launching the Apple Watch Series 10 on September 20th. The device is launching in two sizes with a wide angle OLED display, including a 44mm and 48mm model. This year’s devices are the thinnest of any Apple Watch. The company is also improving on its health functions. Apple is updating the ECG sensor, improving results when monitors heart rates.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 (September 20)

While not offering a brand new model, Apple Watch Ultra 2 is recieving some updates this year. Apple is launching a new ‘Satin Black’ colourway. The new color option joins the new titanium Milanese Loop, which is launching as well. From a software perspective, Apple is releasing a new sleep apnea detection feature for users to try.
The new Satin Black colourway for Apple Watch Ultra 2 is available to pre-order today for $1,099 in Canada.
AirPods 4 (September 20)

The AirPods lineup is getting a refresh, with the biggest reveal being AirPods 4. The new wireless earbuds adopt a new design, targeting the “most comfortable AirPods ever.” This year’s buds feature a new acoustic architecture. Using the H2 chipset, Apple is bringing active noise cancellation (ANC) and transparency more to AirPods 4. With these new modes, Apple is also offering adaptive audio support, including conversation awareness to users.
AirPods 4 will be released in Canada this month. The base model will cost $149, and the AirPods 4 with ANC will cost $249.
iOS 18 (September 16)

A week from the Apple Glowtime event, the company will launch iOS 18. Available across all iPhone devices from the iPhone XR to the newly launched iPhone 16, iOS 18 brings tons of new features to the table. This includes the new Home Screen customization options, a newly redesigned Control Center, and integrations with Apple Intelligence. Once available, users can update their device by navigating to ‘General’ on their iPhone and selecting ‘Software Update.’

Apple Intelligence (December 2024)

Using the power of generative models, Apple Intelligence is finally rolling out for iPhone 16. It’s positioned to best use personal context to use conversational languages, images, and text to assist in day-to-day activities. With Private Cloud Compute, Apple states its AI features are powered securely on Apple’s in-house silicon. User data is said to never be stored and the company’s policy will be continuously verified by third-party monitoring.
Apple Intelligence is launching with U.S. English support in Canada, starting in December.
