HTC U11 Plus to come in translucent, HTC U11 Life specs leak

HTC U11

The HTC U11 Plus is rumoured to be the company’s newest flagship offerings, with a 6-inch display and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The newest leaks about the HTC U11 Plus comes from infamous leaker Blass who tells us that the U11 Plus will come in black, silver and translucent.

For those who don’t know, translucent means semi-transparent. HTC’s U11 Plus translucent variant should look similar to the old Game Boy Color handheld consoles.

In this tweet by HTC, Blass points out that it is showcasing the translucent version of the device and by looking close enough you can see some of the handset’s inner mechanisms.

While that’s all we have about the U11 Plus, there is tons of new information about another new device from the company, the HTC U11 Life.

The news comes from a T-Mobile support page, which revealed the specs of the device in detail and has since been taken down.

The U11 Life will feature a Snapdragon 630 chipset, a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of external storage, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a 16-megapixel rear facing camera. Additionally, it has a 2,600mAh battery, IP67 water protection and, for some reason, is running Android 7.1.1 with HTC Sense.

Reports had revealed that the U11 Life would be an Android One smartphone, however it seems that it will run Nougat with the HTC Sense software over top.

The device will also use Sense Companion, Alexa and the Google Assistant, like the U11 and utilize the U11’s fame feature, Edge Sense.

The U11 Life is expected to be revealed with the U11 Plus on November 2nd in Taipei.
