LG is set to release a smaller version of its LG G6 smartphone, according to TechnoBuffalo.
According to the site, it received an internal document from a “trusted source” that details an alleged “LG G6 mini.” It’s worth noting that TechnoBuffalo says the document didn’t confirm if the phone would actually be called the “G6 mini.”
In any case, this smaller G6 is said to feature a 5.4-inch display, compared to the standard G6’s 5.7-inch screen, and a screen-to-body ratio of nearly 80 percent. The “G6 mini” will reportedly keep the 18:9 aspect ratio first introduced by the standard G6.
However, information related to pricing, full specs and release timing were not revealed in the document.
This alternative model of the G6 would give LG more options on the market to better compete against Samsung and Apple, who offer various models of their respective Galaxy and iPhone phones.
