For one hour between noon and 1 p.m. PDT on October 12, Canadians will be able to purchase the OnePlus 2 without an invite, OnePlus announced today.
The sales event comes after OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei was forced to issue an apology for his company’s poor handling of the OnePlus 2’s launch. Despite promises to the contrary, many of the more than 2-million people that registered for a OnePlus 2 purchase invite did not receive one, even weeks after the smartphone’s official launch. To make amends, Pei said that his company would find a way to make it up to potential customers.
Some things to note about the sale: despite the fact the sale will occur across three different times zones in three different regions, Canadians will only be able to order a OnePlus 2 without an invite during the PDT timeframe mentioned above. Moreover, there’s a limit of two phones per order, though there’s no cap on orders. Also, if you do order, it may take a couple of weeks for your order to arrive.
