With the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ in stores, Canada’s wireless carriers have been quietly reducing the prices on Samsung’s previous pair of flagship smartphones.
This week, Bell, Telus and SaskTel slashed the price of their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge stock. And while these price drops aren’t as significant as the ones we saw last week, there are some compelling deals to be found with a bit of searching.
On Telus, the 32GB S6 and S6 edge are priced at $200 and $250 when purchased on a two year plan. That said, it may be best to upgrade to the 64GB version of either model; both are only $10 more on a two year contract. And for anyone that’s not particular about the colour of their phone (or just likes the colour), Telus is selling the gold 32GB versions of both phones for about $40 to $50 less. Respectively, they can be bought for $150 and $210.
On Bell, the 32GB versions of the S6 and S6 edge can be purchased on two year terms for $199.99 and $249.99, respectively. Like Telus, Bell is also offering the 64GB variants of the S6 and S6 edge for only $10 more.
Lastly, SaskTel has the best promotion of the bunch on the 32 GB versions of these phones. The 32GB S6 is $149.99 on a two year plan, whereas the 32GB edge is $199.99. Obviously, those prices are limited to people in Saskatchewan.
A couple of these look like temporary promotions, so act fast if you’re interested in snagging a new phone.
Update: Regional carrier Eastlink has followed suit and discounted the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge to the ripe price of $0 on its EasyTab plus option.
