One of the best mobile platformers of the year, and the recipient of Apple’s Design Award at WWDC, has finally arrived on Android.
Leo’s Fortune, created by developers 1337 & Senri, have adapted the game for Google’s platform with its charm intact. Players control Leopold, a moustachioed furball who returns home to discover his fortune of gold has been stolen. Through 24 levels, players have to reclaim the lost treasure by jumping and expanding to solve puzzles.
On the surface, Leo is not an especially original game, but the artwork and attention to detail is so good that you quickly become engrossed in the environment. The game also plays at a smooth 60fps frame rate and, on Android, plugs into Play Games’ Leaderboards, Achievements, and Cloud Saves. It also has Android TV and controller support.
The game is $4.99 with no in-app purchases, and it’s one of the better ways to spend a couple of hours on an Android phone or tablet.
