Huawei continues its slow entrance into the Canadian carrier lineups. We’ve been informed that the Huawei Ascend Y530 will exclusively be arriving at Bell, currently slated for a release on May 30th.
The Ascend Y530 is an entry level Android that runs OS 4.3 Jelly Bean, 4.5-inch LCD display (480 x 800), sports a 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor, 5MP camera, 1750 mAh removable battery, but lacks LTE connectivity. Curious what this will set you back? How does a low Prepaid price of $89 sound?
According to the doc, Bell states “this smartphone features an easy to use interface that allows customers to view and access all their important apps on their home screen. Perfect for those looking for a simple and user-friendly mobile experience.”
Update: Bell has released the Huawei Ascend Y530, and it is also available on Virgin Mobile. Bell’s retail partners, Walmart, Best Buy, PC Mobile, Future Shop and The Source are also selling the entry-level device.
