WIND Mobile is preparing to add another tier to their rate plans. According to an internal doc we received, WIND will add a $50/month plan on October 24th. The name is the “WIND 50” plan and they note it “will meet the customer demand for a premium, all-inclusive plan and align with changes in the Canadian marketplace.”
The other plans will not change and stay at $20, $30 and $40/month respectively. The main additions to the new plan includes Voicemail and Canada/US-wide talk.
The WIND 50 plan includes:
- Unlimited Canada/US-wide talk
- Unlimited global text
- Unlimited Canada/US-wide picture and video messaging
- Unlimited data
- Voicemail+
- World Saver
- Call Control features
- Eligible for up to $400 in WINDtab
- Eligible for up to $400 in BYOP service credits
- Eligible for Better Together Savings
Update: We have a bit more info on the upcoming changes. The WINDtab for each is shifting around. The $20/month plan has no WINDtab option, while the $30/month plan drops to a $100 WINDtab (was $200); $40/month plan will be $250 WINDtab eligibility (was $300); $50/month plan will have a $400 WINDtab eligibility.
Update – October 24th: As expected, the news plans, including the $50/month all-in plan, plus the revamped BYOD structure is now available on WIND’s website.
We’ll have more info soon…
