A bit of Xperia Z and ZL news for you fans today.
According to Sony Canada, WIND and Videotron versions of the Xperia ZL can now upgrade to Android 4.2.2 from the shipping version of 4.1.2. Rogers and Bell users received the upgrade in July. You can go ahead and hit that update button and enjoy better battery life, an improved camera experience and other nice touches that LTE customers have been enjoying all summer.
Also relevant is the news that Bell Xperia Z users, who are stuck on 4.1.2, will see Android 4.3 in the coming months. According to SonyXperiaCA’s Twitter account, Sony has been working to update the waterproof smartphone straight to Android 4.3, since it came out too late to have Google certify Android 4.2.
