Nokia has updated its music app for Windows Phone, aptly titled Nokia Music, with a number of new community-facing features that people will enjoy.
Users of the Windows Phone app can like, or favourite, artists they love, and will get a notification when they release new music. It sounds simple, but it definitely adds a reason to enter the app more often, and that’s a win-win for both provider and consumer.
Listeners can also get gig notices when their favourite bands come to town. The features are compatible with Windows Phone 8’s Live Tile system, which will update whenever new information is available.
Nokia Music is a free service for Lumia owners running Windows Phone 8 devices, which was made available earlier this year.
