Smartwatches are a hot topic this year. Apple, Google, Samsung and LG are all rumoured to be launching one in the coming months. Now, according to the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft is joining the pack.
The report says that Microsoft execs have asked their suppliers “to ship components for a potential watch-style device” that has a display of 1.5-inches. No other details were revealed, but if they do it’ll be powered by Windows 8. Just like all the other smart watches you can bet it’ll have the ability to tell the time, view your messages (email/texts/Twitter/Facebook), view incoming calls and listen to your voicemail, plus play your music from your smartphone.
