Bell has rebranded their TV & Radio app to “Mobile TV”, and also pushed through some improvements. This is another move for Bell this year when it comes to making mobile TV viewing mainstream. We first looked at a pre-release version during our review of the Samsung Galaxy Note and the improvements are noticeable. Bell has included some slight UI changes specifically giving way to have fullscreen viewing, search for other shows while you have a program running, custom alerts and view the TV guide that gives you details on what’s on tap for up to 2 weeks.
In total Bell says they have 26 live TV channels that include TSN, MTV, YTV, BNN, Treehouse, CTV. The price is still $5 for 5 hours of TV viewing, with any overage billed at $1/hour. The app is available for the iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry devices, Android and Windows Phone.
