7-inch Asus Eee Memo Pad tablet leaks, looks to launch at CES

Asus is likely eager to ride the momentum of its Transformer Prime launch to unveil a new product. If leaked renders are true, the Taiwanese company is expected to launch a 7-inch EEE Memo Pad at CES next week, though it’s unknown if that is just a “working name.” The portrait-defined tablet looks to have a 1280×800 pixel display, a 1.2Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor, between 16 and 64GB of internal storage (likely at different price points) as well as options for 3G and WiFi-only models. There will also be a keyboard dock sold separately and, if you can believe it, there may be a 3D version to round out the selection. It’s unknown what version of Android it will be running, but more than likely it will launch with Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to Notebook Italia, the launch should happen in correspondance with much-delayed Asus PadFone, which was unveiled early last year.

We’ll bring you more from CES next week, but in the meantime enjoy the first look.
