Globalive is still targeting to launch its new wireless brand next year and has not flinched with all the talk from analysts about having troubles raising funds due to the financial crisis in the USA.
CEO Anthony Lacavera “We certainly plan to launch on schedule. Our time frame has not been changed in any way. We think actually that Globalive’s Yak brand is well-positioned to service Canadians in this kind of economic climate.” During the first 3 years the target is to obtain 1.5 million customers and bring us Canadians “we think that’s going to be very appealing to Canadians in this environment.” stated Lacavera.
Globalive also recently launched a website called “WirelessSoapBox.com” to connect (and start a relationship) with Canadians to understand what they are looking for in a wireless carrier.
