At the World Mobile Congress Nokia announced a beta version of Nokia Map 2.0 that is available now for downloading at the Nokia Beta Labs web site. The update to the software is a feature called “Walk” – this is a pedestrian-focused navigation for those walking around city streets and provides visual turn-by-turn directions information about surrounding buildings, streets and parks.
The handsets have built-in compasses and lets users access multimedia guides that have photos and videos of points of interest.
