Microsoft to start rolling out Windows 10’s Creators Update on April 11

Windows 10 creators update

Microsoft today announced that its latest major Windows 10 software release, the Creators Update, will start rolling out to users across the globe on April 11th.

Announced at the company’s fall Windows 10 event in New York City last year, the update brings a number of changes, both big and small, to Microsoft’s ubiquitous operating system. One of the more notable changes is a Game Mode for Windows 10 PCs that is said to boost performance when playing intensive video games.

However, perhaps the biggest addition is a new version of Paint tailored toward the creation of 3D objects. When Microsoft adds support for mixed reality headsets to Windows 10, users will be able to use those devices to view their creations.

Microsoft aims to release Redstone 3, the next major Windows 10 feature update, sometime this fall.
