Canada’s biggest pop-culture event is nearly upon us.

Fan Expo Canada returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from August 27-30, celebrating the likes of comics, movies, TV and gaming.

As we do every year, we’ve rounded up some of the biggest programming to check out, especially on the gaming and streaming front. Read on for more.

Behaviour Interactive

Big gaming companies unfortunately don’t go to Fan Expo very often anymore, so Canada’s largest independent developer being in attendance is especially notable.

On Saturday at 3 p.m. in Room 707, Behaviour Interactive will host a panel focused on horror games. This includes its long-running popular Dead by Daylight game, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, as well as smaller titles it publishes like 7 Days to Die.

Lego

Lego will have a big booth that features a bunch of different brands, including, most notably, a life-size Pikachu. There will also be photo ops related to Star Wars and Spider-Man, toys to buy and a Pokémon-themed “Make & Take.”

The Lord of the Rings

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings film series, many of the stars are reuniting at Fan Expo. This includes:

  • Elijah Wood (Frodo)
  • Sean Astin (Sam)
  • Dominic Monaghan (Merry)
  • Billy Boyd (Pippin)
  • John Rhys-Davies (Gimli)
  • David Wenham (Faramir)
