If you are a Public Mobile subscriber, check your messages over the next few days, as the Telus sub-brand is texting some customers a bonus 10 or 15GB of data.
Unlike Telus’ 50GB bonus data texts from back in May, Public Mobile notes that it is a one-time top-up that will last for 12 months. It will not last for the duration of your plan.
Now, some users on the Public Mobile subreddit are noting that the amount you get is likely dependent on your plan. Interestingly, as with the Telus promo, someone noted they didn’t take the offer, mainly because they never get close to 100GB.
Some also noted that they needed a code to apply the extra GBs to their account, and a few added that the code didn’t work.
Although the text is framed as a loyalty offer, it seems to be a system similar to the Telus offer—where it is just a random selection rather than being based on account age, leaving some decade-plus customers out.
