Bell has renewed its hit Crave series Shoresy for a sixth season. The company says it will go into production this fall in Sudbury, Ont.
In a press release, Bell also confirmed that the fifth season, which premiered on Christmas Day, drew 36 per cent more viewership over the previous season to become the series’ most-watched season to date. Overall, Bell says each new season has ranked in the top 5 of Crave Originals in its year of release.
While we’ll have to wait until at least 2027 for more Shoresy, creator and star Jared Keeso has another Canadian comedy series coming to Crave sometime this year. Called I Kill The Bear, the show follows a family of bear wranglers for film sets who decide to make this latest film their last. The series stars a bunch of Canadians, including Keeso, Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Adrian Holmes (Bel-Air), MMA legend Georges St-Pierre (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Jonathan Torrens (Trailer Park Boys), Sarah-Maude Beauchesne (Bellefleur) and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville).
Shoresy and I Kill The Bear are part of a larger multi-year deal that Bell signed with Keeso in 2023 to develop original Crave programming
