Google announced that it’s expanding the Gemini 3 model with the launch of Gemini 3 Flash.
Gemini 3 Flash offers 3’s Pro-grade reasoning, but with Gemini Flash-like latency, efficiency and cost, according to Google. It’s able to perform everyday tasks with improved reasoning, but it also offers the most impressive model for agentic workflows. Agentic AI refers to autonomous AI systems that can set goals and take actions with minimal human oversight — like Tony Stark’s Jarvis.
Gemini 3 outperforms Gemini 2.5 Pro across a variety of benchmarks, and even has an MMMU Pro score comparable to Gemini 3 Pro.
And of course, Gemini 3 Flash is highly efficient. Google says that Gemini 3 Flash can modulate how much it thinks when it’s doing a lot of processing, allowing it to use 30 per cent fewer tokens on average compared to 2.5 Pro.
Gemini 3 Flash is rolling out globally and is now the default model in the Gemini app, replacing 2.5 Flash. Gemini users will be able to access 3 Flash for free.
Gemini 3 Flash is capable of multimodal reasoning capabilities, such as being able to understand videos and images faster, and turn that content into an actionable plan in a few seconds. Gemini 3 Flash is also starting to roll out as the default model for AI Mode in Search, with access to everyone.
