The biggest night in gaming is here.

The 2025 Game Awards take place today, December 11, in Los Angeles at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT (pre-show) followed by the main roughly three-hour event at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Hosted by Markham, Ontario-born Geoff Keighley, the ceremony will recognize the best games of the year while offering new looks at upcoming games.

As always, the show is pretty easy to watch. It will be streamed for free on The Game Awards’ YouTube and Twitch platforms. And for the first time ever, you can also stream it directly from Prime Video.

This year, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leads the pack with a record 12 nominations and is the frontrunner to sweep the awards, including for the coveted Game of the Year (GOTY). We have a full list of the nominees, but here are all of the titles up for GOTY:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Sandbox Interactive/Kepler Interactive)
  • Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (Kojima Productions/Sony Interactive Entertainment)
  • Donkey Kong Bananza (Nintendo)
  • Hades 2 (Supergiant Games)
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong (Team Cherry)
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (Warhorse Studios/Deep Silver)

What to expect

So far, Keighley has teased a number of things to expect from the show beyond the awards themselves, including:

  • Evanescence performing “Afterlife” from Netflix’s Devil May Cry series
  • A look at the “future” of the Tomb Raider series
  • A mysterious reveal that could be the next Divinity game from Larian Studios
  • A new look at Exodus, the sci-fi action-RPG from ex-BioWare developers at Archetype Entertainment
  • A new look at Saros, a new PS5 action game from Returnal developer Housemarque
