Details in the ChatGPT app's code point to a possible integration

Apple Health integration could be on its way to OpenAI-owned ChatGPT.

As spotted by MacRumors, an image of the Apple Health icon can now be found in the code of the latest version of the ChatGPT app on iOS. Alongside the icon are Apple Health categories for Apple Health activity, breathing, diet, hearing and sleep.

This would suggest that the ability to connect the Apple Health and ChatGPT accounts could be in the works so that you can could ask the chatbot for insight into your health and fitness data. ChatGPT already supports connectivity with third-party apps like Google Drive, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Spotify and Expedia.

It remains to be seen if and when Apple Health integration could come to ChatGPT. Bloomberg reported in October that Apple is planning to release an AI-powered paid subscription service called Apple Health+ in 2026, so it’s possible that integration of the base Apple Health platform with ChatGPT could coincide with that.
