Torontonians now have greater flexibility when shopping on Amazon.
Until today, Prime members who opt for same-day delivery could choose either overnight delivery (arriving 4-8 a.m. when ordered by midnight) or evening delivery (arriving 5-10 p.m. when ordering by 1:30 p.m.). Now, there are two new options: extended daytime delivery (arriving 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. when ordering by midnight) and afternoon delivery (arriving 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. when ordering by 10:30 a.m.)
While these changes are only for Toronto, Amazon has also introduced a new ‘Same-Day’ page across all Canadian markets in which same-day delivery is available. With this tool, users can browse eligible items and view a new ‘Shipping Threshold Progress Bar’ to see how close they are towards qualifying for free shipping.
In related news, Amazon recently launched ‘Haul’ in Canada, a bargain-focused section available exclusively in beta through its mobile app. This page will highlight products that are $25 or under from categories like electronics, kids, kitchen, jewelry, beauty, office, dresses and garden.
