A tease for a potential Halo collab was seen in a new trailer for the Xbox launch of Helldivers 2.
Near the end of the new trailer posted to X (Twitter) and YouTube, a clip featuring the drop of a single Helldiver pod is played.
Accompanying this shot is a song that features very similar notes to the ones used in the Halo 3 ODST soundtrack, specifically the track Rain (Deference and Darkness).
The way the trailer ended, the shot, and the music all point toward a possible crossover event between Helldivers 2 and the Halo franchise. It should also be noted that this tease comes from a trailer announcing the launch of Helldivers 2 on Xbox, a console widely associated with the Halo franchise.
Helldivers 2 is set to launch for Xbox consoles on August 26. It’s unclear when exactly the Halo crossover will happen, but it can be assumed that it will be after the official launch on Xbox.
