We’re heading back to the Myspace era, and I love it. Instagram is getting a new Myspace-like, music on a user’s profile. Thankfully, music won’t autoplay, but users can play a song on someone’s profile.
You can add songs by heading to ‘edit profile,’ where you can search through Instagram’s library of licensed music. After picking a song, select 30 seconds from it to add to your profile.
This feature is made in collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, known for her hit song Espresso. Sabrina Carpenter’s Instagram profile includes a teaser of her song Taste from her new album ‘Short n’ Sweet.’
Ahead of today’s album launch, Instagram was the only way to listen to the new song.
Of course, I immediately added How You Remind Me to my profile.
