Best Buy Canada has updated its iOS app to include a new feature called ‘3D in Home View,’ allowing users to see life-sized products in the real world through augmented reality.
With the app, users can position AR creations of select products to see how they would look in their homes, such as a Nintendo Switch on a table or a Samsung appliance slotted into a kitchen space.
Altogether, Best Buy says there currently are over 150 products that are supported by 3D in Home View, including laptops, gaming consoles, smart home devices and appliances. The company says support for additional products will be added in the future.
3D In Home View requires iPhone 6S, iPhone SE or newer.
It’s worth noting that while Best Buy Canada has an app on the Google Play Store, the AR feature has not yet made its way to Android devices.
