SaskTel brings high-speed internet to the village of Kendal

Residents now have access to SaskTel’s Extended 5 and Extended 10 network

Regional service provider SaskTel is expanding its service network.

Residents of the Village of Kendal will now be able to access SaskTel’s High Speed interNET Extended 5 and Extended 10 plans.

Extended 5 offers users download speeds of up to 5MBps, while Extended 10 offers up to 10MBps.

“This is exciting news for Kendal,” said Joe Hargrave, the minister responsible for SaskTel, in a December 7th, 2017 media release. “Having a reliable internet connection will greatly benefit everyone in our community, especially our young people who will now have the same online learning opportunities as other children.”

This Kendal expansion is part of SaskTel’s $300 million CAD capital investment, as well as its $1.4 billion investment between 2016 to 2021.

“We understand the integral role that the internet plays in modern society and we take pride in the integral role that the internet plays in modern society and we take pride in knowing that our efforts will help to open opportunities for Kendal residents,” said Hargrave, in the same media release.
