Instagram has released its annual year in review report, revealing that Justin Bieber is not only the most-followed Canadian of 2017, but also the Canadian celebrity with the most-liked posts.

According to Instagram, Justin Bieber’s roughly 94 million followers place him well ahead of fellow Canucks Drake (with 38.6 million followers), Shawn Mendes (with 26.9 million followers), Abel Tesfaye (also known as The Weeknd, with 15.9 million followers) and Vancouver’s own Ryan Reynolds (with 15.7 million followers).

Three posts by Bieber are also the most-liked Canadian celebrity posts of 2017.

The number one positions goes to a shirtless photo of Bieber on a mountainside.

Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver rank as the most-Instagrammed Canadian cities of 2017, while the Air Canada Centre, Toronto Pearson International Airport and the Rogers Centre serve as the most-Instagrammed Canadian locations.

The most popular days for Canadian users to Instagram were Labour Day, Mother’s Day and, unsurprisingly, Canada Day.

The normal filter, Clarendon filter and Gingham filter are the three most popular in Canada, in contrast to Clarendon, Gingham and Juno — which were the three most-popular filters globally.

Justin Bieber is also no doubt envious of his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, who was the most-followed celebrity in the world (with approximately 130 million followers).

Ariana Grande (with 115 million followers), Cristiano Ronaldo (with 115 million followers) and Beyonce (with 108 million followers) followed.

New York City, Moscow and London — in the United Kingdom, not Ontario — were the most-Instagrammed cities in 2017.

As for the most-Instagrammed locations in the world?

Disneyland in Anaheim, Times Square in New York City and Central Park in New York City were the three most-photographed locations on the popular photo-sharing service.

It’s important to mention that Instagram’s report has been compiled using data from January 1st, 2017 to November 17th, 2017.
