The company says it sold a record-breaking number of OnePlus 5T units within the first six hours of its availability. OnePlus, however, didn’t release specific sales figures.
While the OnePlus 5T features many of the same inner specs as the OnePlus 5 –– such as their shared Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage — the 5T’s outer shell is evidently getting the attention of consumers. The OnePlus 5T features a 6-inch display, 1080 x 2160 pixel ratio and the newer, sleeker 18:9 aspect ratio that many now consider the mark of a modern smartphone.
Another factor that is likely effecting the sales of the OnePlus 5T is the handset’s price. The OnePlus 5T ‘s base model — 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage — retails at $659 CAD, only $10 more than the OnePlus 5 when it launched earlier this year.
