iPad Pro users concerned about issues with their Smart Keyboards can now rest assured. Apple is offering repairs on both the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro Smart Keyboard for three years after the initial purchase date.
Citing an internal Apple memo, MacRumours reported that the Cupertino giant is offering an extension on the usual one-year warranty on Smart Keyboards, due to “functional issues during use.”
These issues include “the Smart Connector not working or certain keys sticking, repeating, or not responding.”
The repairs are offered through the usual Apple avenues — an appointment at a Genius Bar or with an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
MobileSyrup has reached out to Apple for comment on whether the three-year-warranty includes Smart Keyboards purchased in Canada.
