BlackBerry has signed licensing agreements with a number of organizations around the globe, most notably TCL Communications and Indonesian telecom company PT Tiphone Mobile who will put the brand under the PT BB Merah Putih name.
TCL already unveiled the BlackBerry KEYone, previously known as the Mercury, and this will be heading to Canada in April. However, after a number of leaked images, BB Merah Putih has officially announced the BlackBerry Aurora and will start selling the all-touch device March 13th.
As for specs, the Aurora runs Android 7.0 and comes with a 5.5-inch 720 x 1280 AMOLED display, 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 3000 mAh battery, 13-megapixel camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 4GB RAM, dual micro SIM card slot with overall dimensions of 152 x 76.8 x 8.55 mm and a weight of 178 grams.
The Aurora will retail for IDR3.499.000, which equates to about $350 CAD, in gold, silver, and black.
