Canadians can now use Apple Pay and a compatible iPhone to make purchases at vending machines across the country.
The functionality comes courtesy of PayRange, which just updated its iOS app to support Apple’s mobile payments platform.
The app is supported by the Canadian National Vending Alliance, an organization made up of the country’s largest vending machine operators, though only machines equipped with a BluKey dongle can accept mobile payments. The good news is that the dongle only takes “seconds” to install.
PayRange’s app also supports debit or credit cards. Download it from the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.
