It appears Samsung is set to continue its practice of releasing a more rugged version of its current flagship.
One of Samsung’s own apps confirmed the company’s intentions a few weeks ago, but today, a picture of the Galaxy S7 Active has leaked online, courtesy of SamsungVN. The Galaxy S7 has a similar design to the S6 Active, featuring a similar polycarbonate and rubber construction to that phone. New to this year’s version of the device is the camp paint job.
While it’s not the most ascetically pleasing smartphone, the device is IP68 certified – which means it’s both water and dust resistant. It also features what appear to be physical navigation buttons, instead of capacitive ones.
The S7 Active looks like it will be heading to AT&T, with not word yet on Canadian availability.
