Google Store adds dedicated virtual reality section

Cardboard

To help drive awareness, and possibly adoption of virtual reality devices, Google has created a dedicated section within the Google Store to highlight a few standout VR products.

The site states that anyone can now “experience the magic of VR with your smartphone” and lists headsets like Google Cardboard, the Mattel View-Master, and Google Tech C1-Glass VR Viewer.

Unfortunately, while the page is open to Canadians, product sales are not, nor is there any indication when they may go live here. In the U.S., Google is selling a single Cardboard headset for $15 USD (two can be bought at a slight discount), the View-Master for $30 (also available at Best Buy Canada) and the Tech C1-Glass VR Viewer for $15.
