Billy Bishop Airport app lands on mobile

Billy Bishop Airport App

PortsToronto, the owner and operator of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, has launched a new mobile app called Billy.

Designed to make the travel experience easier for people using the airport, the new app includes a flight-tracking tool, weather and traffic conditions (both for departure and arrival cities), airport information, ground transportation and a break down of onsite services and airport amenities. The airport’s in-app travel magazine is set to be included as well.

Content in the travel magazine can be downloaded ahead of time so passengers can continue reading while inflight.

This fall users of Billy Bishop Airport’s new Billy app will also be able to access an upgraded “VIP WiFi” service, giving users access to faster internet. A new 853-foot $82.5 million pedestrian tunnel connecting the city’s island airport to mainland Toronto also recently opened.

Billy is available on both iOS, Android and BlackBerry World for free.
