According to Google, Lollipop is now powering 12.4% of Android devices, which is an increase from 9.7% in May. Much of the rise could be attributed to the adoption of new smartphones such as the Galaxy S6 or S6 edge, HTC One M9, or the number of devices that were updated.
Android 2.2 Froyo is still lingering on 0.3% of Android devices. KitKat still presents the largest single distribution of Android at 39.2%, while Jelly Bean comes in a close second at 37.4%.
