Otterbox has announced its own version of the iPhone 6 battery case, the Resurgence, with a 2650mAh battery and four handsome colours.
Though every accessory manufacturer, from Mophie to Griffin, has delved into this space, it appears that Otterbox is poised to break into the market with a splash. The Resurgence offers what some others don’t: military-grade drop protection, and intelligent auto-stop charging that saves the case’s battery when the phone’s reaches 100%.
Like other Otterbox products, the case is reportedly sturdy, with a fibreglass outer shell and an internal “foam core” that protects the device from bumps and falls.
While Otterbox isn’t giving a release date for the Resurgence other than “soon,” it will be available for $99.95 USD.
