Rdio, the excellent streaming music service, has updated its app on iOS and Android to support ultra high-quality playback. Users can now select between listening at between 64kbps AAC all the way to 320kbps, with stops at 96 and 192 on the way. There are separate settings for WiFi, cellular and downloaded options, too.
The app has also been updated on iOS to support the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and Rdio has added interactive notifications to allow following of people directly from the Action Center.
Rdio’s iOS app now also supports CarPlay, which is rolling out to select vehicles later this year.
