Hailo rolls out black cars in Toronto, same price as taxis for a short time

Hailo has rolled out a new batch of taxis called black cars, larger sedans that typically attract a more discerning passenger.

HailoBlack is meant to compete with Uber’s fleet of the same, bringing on-demand transportation to thousands of Torontonians over the past 18 months. While black cars will eventually fetch a higher price, for a limited time Toronto residents can hail a HailoBlack for the same price as a regular Hailo taxi, the only stipulation being a $12 minimum charge.

Hailo is available for Android and iPhone.
