Crazy Taxi was released for the Dreamcast console an unbelievable 13 years ago, and debuted as an arcade game even before that.
Making its inevitable transition to mobile, Crazy Taxi came to iOS last year and is now available for Android devices running 2.2 or higher. Sega of America is selling the game, which features you as a taxi driver racking up fares while avoiding accidents, for just over $5 CAD, which is comparable to the iPhone version and in line with some of the other brand name games Sega has released over the past few years.
The Android version comes with all the requisite mini games, original music and most of the same locations as on the original Dreamcast , and the on-screen controls have been tweaked for larger devices like the Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Sega has ensured that the game is compatible with hardware controllers like Moga, Xbox, and practically “all HID controllers,” so if you’re a bit more hardcore about your mobile gaming experience, this should be a great addition to your roster.
Users can even play their own music while crusin’ down the highway, and the game works great with phones or tablets.
