It’s still astonishing to see the ongoing success of Angry Birds. Three years since its release on iOS the game is still forging ahead and racking up millions of downloads. Now with various spin offs such as Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Star Wars, plus Bad Piggies, Rovio released some holiday stats that revealed the game is still in demand.
They note that between December 22nd and 29th there was over 30 million Angry Birds game downloads, with 8 million alone on December 25th. They didn’t break it down for what platform the downloads came from, but highlight they were on 50% of the new 17.4 million iOS and Android devices (stat courtesy of Flurry) that people received over the holidays.
