The Xperia J looks to be another high-fashion, low-performance entry from the newly-consolidated Sony Mobile. We saw some photos of this device, codenamed ST26i, leak out in May, but it looks like the Japanese company may be getting ready to move into production, at least in its home country.
Leaked screenshots of the handset show off the back of a fairly thin and smooth-back Android phone. It’s expected to come with low- to mid-range specs such a 1Ghz single-core Snapdragon processor, a 4-inch 854×480 pixel screen and a 5MP camera with a flash. Thankfully it will be running Android 4.0.4 out of the box, much to the chagrin of Xperia S and Xperia ion owners the world over.
If the Xperia J does ever come to Canada, expect it to be under $300 outright.
