They promised it was coming and it’s here! The first untethered jailbreak for the new iPad, plus any other iOS device running 5.1.1, has been made available under the name Absinthe 2.0. It works very similar to the last one-click app, and is available for Windows, OS X and Linux.
pod2g, the main exploit finder behind Absinthe, suggests backing up your stuff and restoring to a fresh copy of 5.1.1 before you jailbreak, as it will make everything go much faster.
