The iPad 3 will be unveiled next week. This is the latest rumblings that have surfaced online and echo earlier rumours that we’ll see Apple hold a press conference during the first week of March – potentially on March 7th. CNBC is reporting, initially through Twitter, that “ALERT: Quad-Core iPad 3 with 4G LTE to be unveiled in New York next week. -Sources”. New York seems odd for Apple to hold this event. Usually a large scale announcement/launch takes place in Cupertino at Apple HQ.
Other rumoured specs of the iPad 3 have it coming with a 9.7-inch 2048×1536 display and an 8MP camera. Hopefully more details will follow and Apple will start sending out press invites.
Update: Well, March 7th looks like the offical date and it’s happening 10AM PST in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
