The first release, or rather re-release, of Kik for BlackBerry reintroduced the app to the community after almost a year of radio silence. While the audience grew on iOS, Android and Windows Phone, BlackBerry users were wondering whether RIM’s lawsuit would keep the software away forever.
But in October the company debuted an App Store-free version of the instant messenger, which can be downloaded over at Kik’s website. Now there has been an update to fix a number of performance and battery-related issues. Gladly, it is easy to update: all you need to do is head to Settings, then Help and finally Check for Updates.
