We know that the Playbook 2.0 software is going to bring native email, calendar and BBM access, but it will also bring the Android Player to RIM’s tablet.
Now that the device has been rooted, despite RIM’s best efforts of releasing a security fix, the developers at Dingleberry have brought access to the Android Marketplace as long as you have the developer’s beta of version 2.0 installed.
If you are interested in taking the plunge to root your Playbook, keep in mind that there are some bugs to iron out, and we don’t know if RIM is going to issue a security update in the near future to fix the second vulnerability.
Simon Sage at IntoMobile has a very detailed set of instructions that, after a lot of trial and error, seem to work quite well.
Head to Dingleberry’s website to go ahead with the jailbreak, and let us know how you fare.
