We got invited to the RIM campus today for a hands-on with the Curve 9380 and the Bold 9790.
The Curve 9380 is meant to complement the 9360, which we reviewed a few weeks ago. It’s a thin device at 11.2mm and the form factor is actually pretty nice. It definitely feels like a Curve, but we don’t see it appealing to business people with its all-touch interface. Instead we think this will be a popular low-cost choice for youth looking for an entry-level BlackBerry, or someone who doesn’t mind a virtual keyboard for a bit more screen real estate.
The full specs are:
– BlackBerry 7 OS
– 3.2″ 360×480 capacitive touch screen
– 800Mhz Marvell processor
– 512MB RAM, 512MB internal storage
– 5MP EDoF camera w/ flash
– 1230mAh battery
– NFC capabilities
Hit the break for more images and a video overview… we’ll have a review soon.
