Earlier this year TELUS announced they’ll be investing $670 million in British Columbia. this year to build out their wireless and wireline networks. $4 million of the $670 million will be heading towards Vernon (population is about 40,000) and TELUS isn’t stopping there. From now until May 3rd, 2012 TELUS will give $100 for every new customer who activates a smartphone at a Vernon TELUS location. The monies raised (up to $100,000) will go towards building a new branch of the Okanagan Regional Library.
